Tools reference

Every tool of the Maylee MCP server, grouped by toolset, generated from the server's own tool definitions.

The server exposes 69 tools in five toolsets. This reference is generated from the tool definitions of the server itself: names, descriptions, parameters and output fields are exactly what your assistant receives in tools/list.

Each tool has a permission: Read, Organize and draft (write) or Send. A connection only lists the tools its permissions allow, and tools marked OAuth only act for a person, so they are hidden for API keys. Every tool returns structuredContent matching its output schema plus the same JSON as text; errors come back as isError: true with { "code", "error", "details" }, so the model can read the message and fix its call.

get_reference: label colors, view icons, the filter grammar, rule options, limits and safety rules.

Workspace and connection, mailboxes, sync, unread counts, contacts, reply reminders, notification settings, timezone.

  • Confirm: the tool refuses to act without confirm: true, always or in some cases (see Confirmations).
  • Idempotency key: required on sends, optional on creations. Reuse the same key only to retry the same call after a timeout.
  • Hourly budget: the tool counts against one of the hourly safety budgets of the connection (see Limits).
  • Hints are the MCP tool annotations: read-only, destructive, idempotent, open world (acts outside the mailbox).
